Substance and Systematics of Articles

Articles published in the Journal of Legal Studies contain research results and conceptual ideas aimed at improving the understanding and application of law in Indonesia in the context of developing knowledge in the field of law, both in theory and practice. The elements required in an article are: 1) title, 2) author's name, institution name, and e-mail address, 3) abstract and keywords, 4) introduction, 5) results and discussion, 7) conclusion, and 8) bibliography.

Writing style

Articles published in the journal of Pemuliaan Hukum have the following writing style:

  1. Accepted articles are those written using MS Word, A4 paper, 10 to 20 pages in length, with one-point spacing and using Garamond 12 pt font.

  2. The title of the article is written specifically and effectively, with a maximum of 15 words in Indonesian.

  3. Author's name and institution. The author's name must be accompanied by the author's institution, email address, without academic title and position.

  4. The abstract is the essence of the paper, written in one paragraph, using Indonesian and English, and a maximum of 100-250 words. The abstract is written in one paragraph and includes the research objectives, research methods, results, and discussion. 

  5. Keywords consist of 3 to 5 keywords that reflect the concepts written in the paper.

  6. The introduction includes the general background or background of the problem, gap analysis or problem statement, review of previous studies, uniqueness of the research, hypotheses (if applicable), research objectives, and research methods used.

  8. The research methodology includes the research approach and method, types and sources of data, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques, and the time and location of the research (if applicable). 

  9. Results and Discussion. This section consists of the latest data analysis, hypothesis testing, and answering research questions, and findings. The discussion involves the interpretation of the results, comparisons with other research and theories, and the implications of the research results.

  10. Conclusion. This section outlines the author's conclusions on the actual issues discussed (aligned with the research objectives), the practical implications and benefits, the limitations of the study, and recommendations.

  11. References. Provide information on the literature used in the article with 80% primary and current literature (from journal and research articles) and 25% textual citations (maximum last 5 years).

  12. The tables and graphs used must be accompanied by sources and numbering.

  13. Footnotes and bibliographies use the Journal of Pemuliaan Hukum writing guidelines.

  14. The language used in Journal of Pemuliaan Hukum is good and correct Indonesian.

Footnote style

The footnote system applied in the journal of Pemuliaan hukum Journal is the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (Full notes) and uses the Mendeley/Zotero/Endnote reference management tool).

Bibliography

The bibliography in the journal of Pemuliaan Hukum is arranged alphabetically based on the last name of the author cited. The format for writing the bibliography follows the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (Full notes).
