Publication Ethics

This Publication Ethics is published by Shibyab Madrasah Ibdidaiyah Education Journal. This Publication Ethics adopts the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) statement, which can be accessed at (https://publicationethics.org/guidance/Guidelines). The principles adopted include a code of ethics for the editorial team, editorial board members, reviewers, and guidelines for authors.

This Publication Ethics is published in order to maintain the integrity of the journal management and the quality of articles published by SHIBYAN. Therefore, everyone involved with the SHIBYAN Journal is required to comply with and adhere to all of these publication ethics.

Author Obligations

  1. Articles submitted must be the author's own work and not plagiarized or adapted in a manner that is not in accordance with the code of ethics for writing.
  2. Submitting manuscripts that have already been published is not permitted.
  3. Submitting manuscripts that have been or are currently being reviewed by other journal managers is not permitted.
  4. Statement no. 3 may be applied if there has been an official rejection from the previous journal manager.
  5. Authors are obliged to notify the editor if there is incorrect data in the journal to be published.
  6. Make corrections immediately if the article needs to be revised.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. Ensure that the reviewed article complies with the code of ethics for scientific writing and the style of SHIBYAN.
  2. Have the right to refuse to review articles if they do not match their field of expertise.
  3. Refuse review requests from authors or the editorial team to avoid conflicts of interest.
  4. Review all assigned articles objectively, fairly, and professionally.
  5. Submit review results in the form of writing ethics violations, such as plagiarism, committed by the author to the editor-in-chief for follow-up.
  6. Communicating with authors without written permission from the editor-in-chief is prohibited.
  7. Adhere to the review time given; review time extensions are at the discretion of the editor-in-chief.

Duties of Editorial Board Members

  1. Contribute actively to the development and progress of journal management.
  2. Act as ambassadors for the journal.
  3. Continue to support and promote the Journal of Community Service.
  4. Always review every task assigned.

Duties of the Editor-in-Chief

  1. Evaluate manuscripts objectively and based on their intellectual value.
  2. Ensure the confidentiality of manuscripts and not disclose any information about the manuscripts to anyone other than those involved in the publication process.
  3. Responsible for deciding when and which articles will be published.
  4. Actively seek the views of board members, reviewers, and authors on how to improve the image and visibility of the journal.
  5. Provide clear instructions to prospective contributors regarding the submission process and what is expected of authors.
  6. Ensure that the appropriate reviewers are selected/identified for the review process.
