Abstract

The problems studied in this study are about the management of library collections in SMK Negeri 1 Katapang. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning, organizing and monitoring of library collections at SMA Negeri 1 Katapang. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The object of this research is the librarian of SMK Negeri 1 Katapang. The data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation study. Based on the
results of the study, the SMK Negeri 1 Katapang Library stated that in carrying out collection management, the library procures collections consisting of collection planning, organizing collections, monitoring collection. Meanwhile, the pattern of searching for user information at SMK Negeri 1 Katapang is that users come directly to the shelf and ask the librarian. The management of the collections activities at SMK Negeri 1 Katapang can be said to be good. Where the management of
the collections contained in the SMK Negeri 1 Katapang library comes from the policies and rules contained in the library and sourced from the National Library Standards (SNP).
