Oil palm plants are a type of plantation crop that occupies an important position in the agricultural sector in general and the plantation sector in particular. Ganoderma. Oil palm Ganoderma disease or stem root rot is a type of disease that is very deadly for oil palm plants in plantations. This disease attack comes from the fungus Ganoderma sp. Basal stem rot (BPB) or basal stem rot (BSR) is a serious disease that attacks oil palms (Elaeis guineensis). This disease is caused by the white rot fungus Ganoderma spp. To date there are 15 species reported to be associated with BPB, including G. boninense, G. chalceum, G. miniactocinctum, G. tornatum, and G. zonatum. Ganoderma boninense is more virulent than other species. The research aims to isolate the Ganoderma fungus to determine the condition of the hyphae and colour. Samples were taken at Pernantian Perkebunan PT Umada Village, and laboratory test observations were carried out in the laboratory room of the science and technology faculty at Labuhanbatu University. This research was carried out in DECEMBER 2023 until completion. The results of fungal isolation from the Ganoderma fungus were 1 fungal isolation from the Ganoderma fungus, namely J10 ??, after which the morphological characterization of the fungus was carried out. Ganoderma culture shows white mycelium at the beginning of its growth. On further growth, the centre of the isolate becomes brown, with growth concentric around the centre. The mycelium structure tends to be straight and smooth, tends to be flat and does not clump
