EFEKTIFITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE INVESTIGASI KELOMPOK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN STATISTIKA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMA NEGERI 2 BANJARMASIN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013-2014

Abstract


One of the standards of the mathematics learning process is communication (NCTM, 2000). According to Guerreiro (2008), mathematical communication is a tool in the transmission of mathematical knowledge or as a foundation in building mathematical knowledge. Communication in this case is not just verbal or verbal communication but also written communication. To develop students' mathematical communication skills, teachers can apply certain models in accordance with the elements of mathematical communication, one of which is Group Investigation type Learning. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental design. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. Sampling using purposive sampling technique followed by random sampling. Data collection techniques used are documentation and tests. The analytical technique used was descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistics, namely the normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed mathematical communication skills and student learning outcomes using the group investigation type cooperative model better than students who used the direct model.
