Abstract

Organizational life cannot be separated from effective communication. Effective communication depends on the ability to respond to and anticipate changes in the organization's external environment in accordance with the organization's own internal developments. Besides that, communication is based on several perspectives in its development so that it plays an important role in the organization. Communication functions in organizations are informative functions, regulative functions, persuasive functions and integrative functions. In running the organization, each agency has its own characteristics. An organization is a system that adapts and sustains itself by reducing the uncertainty it faces. This is a system of interrelated behaviors. These regular patterns of interrelated behavior will in turn form organizational communication patterns that take place or are carried out. This study will discuss organizational communication patterns from the perspective of current theory. Organizational communication patterns are a system of sending messages from communicators to communicants with the aim of changing behavior, attitudes and opinions. This pattern can be seen from how information is conveyed to all parts of the organization and how information is received from all parts of the organization. Organizational communication is the flow of information within a network whose relationships are interdependent with each other (the flow of messages within a network of interdependent relationships). Organizational communication patterns in the perspective of current theory explain how people understand things through experience with the help of disconnection and integration. Disconnection means cutting up a collection of experiences into appropriate, labelable, nameable units, and the act of unification involves determining the connections, especially the causal connections between the disconnected components. Meanwhile, from a cultural perspective, the way a message is interpreted depends on the context that is symbolically constructed and it is in this context that the message appears. Estimating reactions to messages will not be accurate without knowledge of the organizational context.
