Abstract


Research on Optimizing Learning Outcomes of Students by Using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Methods in Science Subjects at MI Baeturridlwan Bandung.

The teacher has a very important role in determining the quality and quantity of the teaching carried out, therefore the teacher must think about and make plans seriously in an effort to improve student learning outcomes and improve the quality of teaching. The teacher acts as the manager of the teaching and learning process acting as a facilitator who seeks to create an effective teaching and learning process, so that the learning process can be improved. As well as developing learning materials well and increasing the ability of students to pay attention in the learning process and master the goals to be achieved. One method that can be used is the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type cooperative model. This model is an effective way to carry out learning that is able to activate students.

Based on the problems that occur at MI Baturridlwan, we assume that student learning outcomes in the science learning process still need to be improved by applying the right learning methods. Therefore, improvements need to be made so that the learning outcomes of MI Baeturridlwan students increase. Student learning outcomes through image media using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in science subjects at MI Baeturridlwan. In accordance with the formulation of the problem above, this study aims to determine the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative method on science subjects in MI Baeturridlwan, knowing the improvement in student learning outcomes in science subjects at MI Baeturridlwan, knowing the improvement in learning outcomes of students using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative method on science subjects at MI Baeturridlwan, and knowing the improvement in learning outcomes of students using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative method on science subjects at MI Baeturridlwan.

This study uses a qualitative approach that is to find out or describe the reality of the events studied so as to facilitate researchers to obtain objective data in order to know and understand "Optimizing Learning Outcomes of Students by Using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Methods in Science Subjects in MI Baeturridlwan Bandung ". The purpose of the research through this qualitative approach is to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the subject of research, for example, behavior, motivation, actions and others. Holistically and in a descriptive way in the form of words and languages in a natural context and by utilizing various natural methods. This research is expected to be able to reveal the pattern of education carried out by each teacher in using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method in the Science Subject at MI Baeturridlwan Bandung, knowing the factors that support and hinder the implementation of the teaching and learning process. The results of this study are expected to be useful for educational institutions as a means to take initiatives in order to improve curriculum development programs in the future.
