Abstract

A company activity does not escape methods to optimize production that have been researched and designed in order to minimize all errors and deficiencies that occur in production activities. One of the important activities in industrial competition in today’s global market is making designs in scheduling production activities so that companies can minimize production costs and speed up production time to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of production operations and achieve production targets. PT Smart Teknik Utama was established on March 11, 1989. On July 10, 1994 PT Smart Teknik Utama received assistance and a soft capital loan from BUMN, namely PT LEN Industri (Persero), the Production Division experienced delays in fulfilling orders from consumers due to the scheduling method. which is less adjusted to the time when the contract arrives and the time to fulfill the due date of each order, the research objective of this final project is to increase work effectiveness and be able to precisely control and design a production system that can regulate and support all aspects and resources owned so that efficient in the process of achieving optimal goals. Based on this, the company wants a proposed solution to correct delays in processing orders. This study proposes the First Come First Serve (FCFS) method, the Longest Processing Time (LPT) method, the Shortest Processing Time (SPT) method, the Early Due Date (EDD) method and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method.
