Pedoman Pengimplementasian Tindakan Preservasi Melalui Video Instruksional

The background for creating this work is the lack of implementation of preservation practices at the UPT Central Library of the Islamic Nusantara University. This has led to significant damage to the library collections. The main cause of this phenomenon is the lack of education among the librarians who manage the library. The purpose of creating this instructional video is to provide education and insights on how to practice the preservation of library collections, especially for librarians at the UPT Central Library of the Islamic Nusantara University and the general public. The constructivism paradigm is employed in this work, utilizing a qualitative approach and the information behavior Wilson model. The chosen delivery method is instructional videos published on the YouTube platform. The data collection technique used includes field observation, interviews, and documentation methods. This work aims to educate users on carrying out preventive preservation practices to prevent damage to library collections, especially books. The use of video media, disseminated through the YouTube platform, serves as a means of delivering educational material for the preservation of library collections, ensuring that the material easily reaches the audience. The delivery is simple and coherent language, along with well-organized video arrangements, is also expected to be well-received by a wide audience. After its publication, this instructional video work received a lot of positive feedback on the YouTube platform of LCO Fikom Uninus.

ABSTRAK
Pembuatan karya ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum diterapkannya praktik preservasi di UPT Perpustakaan Pusat Universitas Islam Nusantara. Hal tersebut menyebabkan banyak koleksi perpustakaan yang mengalami kerusakan, fenomena ini disebabkan oleh belum teredukasinya pustakawan yang mengelola perpustakaan tersebut. Tujuan dari dibuatnya video instruksional ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan wawasan tentang bagaimana cara melakukan praktik pelestarian koleksi perpustakaan kepada pustakawan khususnya di UPT Perpustakaan Pusat Universitas Islam Nusantara dan umumnya kepada masyarakat. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam karya ini adalah paradigma konstruktivisme, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan model perilaku informasi Wilson. Metode penyampaian yang digunakan adalah melalui video instruksional yang dipublikasikan lewat platform Youtube. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai disini yaitu melalui observasi lapangan dengan metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Karya ini diharapkan dapat memberikan edukasi kepada pemustaka untuk dapat melakukan praktik preservasi secara preventif untuk mencegah kerusakan pada koleksi perpustakaan khususnya buku. Penggunaan media video yang disebarluaskan dalam platform Youtube sebagai penyampai materi edukasi pelestarian koleksi perpustakaan bertujuan agar materi tersebut dapat dengan mudah sampai kepada audience. Penyampaian dengan bahasa yang mudah dipahami dan susunan video yang runtut juga diharapkan dapat diterima dengan baik oleh khalayak luas. Setelah dipublikasikan, karya video instruksional ini mendapat banyak feedback positif di platform Youtube LCO Fikom Uninus.
