ABSTRACT
The profile video of Pertamina’s library contains the unit story of whole activities at Pertamina Library. By using Roland Barhes’ semiotics theory, problems regarding libraries and librarians in profile video will be analyzed using syntagmatic and paradigmatic. Pertamina’s profile video is capable of displaying information systems and technology. The rules that have been held firmly by the classical library are no longer in the concept of Pertamina Library. This profile video of Pertamina’s library tries to show the other side of the stereotype of the community around the library. Both in terms of buildings service systems and librarian self-image.
