TRADISI WILUJENGAN ATAU SELAMETAN DALAM PRESERVASI DI REKSO PUSTOKO MANGKUNEGARA SURAKARTA

Wilujengan or selametan is a tradition that is often held by the Javanese. One that carries out the wilujengan tradition is the Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran Library, which is located in Solo, Central Java. As for the management of the library, one of which is the preservation activity, namely fumigation. Uniquely, in the fumigation activities carried out at the Rekso Pustoko Library, there is a special tradition, namely wilujengan or selametan. The research wants to know the purpose and process of the wilujengan or slametan tradition. This research is a qualitative research. Interviews were conducted with librarians and working staff. The results of the study found that, first, wilujengan or salametan is carried out to ask for safety and smoothness in the fumigation process. Second, wilujengan or salvation is performed to ask for blessings from God Almighty. Third, wilujengan or salametan is a routine tradition in which Rekso Pustoko under the auspices of Praja Mangkunegaran still upholds Javanese cultural customs, one of which is the wilujengan or salametan tradition.

ABSTRAK
Wilujengan atau selametan merupakan suatu tradisi yang sering diselenggakan oleh orang Jawa. Salah satu yang melakukan tradisi wilujengan yaitu Perpustakaan Rekso Pustoko Mangkunegaran yang terletak Solo Jawa Tengah. Adapun dalam manajemen perpustakaannya, salah satunya terdapat kegiatan preservasi yaitu fumigasi. Uniknya dalam kegiatan fumigasi yang dilakukan di Perpustakaan Rekso Pustoko terdapat satu tradisi khusus yaitu wilujengan atau selametan. Penelitian ingin mengetahui tujuan dan proses dari tradisi wilujengan atau selametan tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Wawancara dilakukan ke pustakawan dan staff yang bekerja. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa, pertama, wilujengan atau selametan dilakukan untuk memohon keselamatan dan kelancaran dalam proses fumigasi. Kedua, wilujengan atau selametan dilakukan guna memohon berkah dari Tuhan yang Maha Esa. Ketiga, wilujengan atau selametan merupakan tradisi rutin yang mana Rekso Pustoko di bawah naungan Praja Mangkunegaran masih menjunjung adat budaya Jawa salah satunya tradisi wilujengan atau selametan.
