MENGAJARKAN MEMBACA BAGI ANAK DENGAN AUTISME NONVERBAL MELALUI PICTURE TO TEXT MATCHING INSTRUCTION (PILOT STUDY)

Abstract

Sekitar 50% dari anak dengan autism tidak dapat berbicara, yang menjadikan hanya sedikit dari mereka mendapatkan pembelajaran membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hasil pembelajaran membaca melalui Picture to Text Matching Instruction yang diberikan pada anak autisme non-verbal. Penelitian merupakan penelitian dengan single subject research dengan melibatkan 1 anak dengan autisme non-verbal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pembelajaran yang dilakukan anak yang menjadi partisipan penelitian dapat menguasai 30 kata yang diajarkan untuk dibaca yang ditandai dengan anak mampu memasangkan setiap tulisan kegambar yang sesuai dengan makna tulisan tersebut, walaupun anak tidak dapat mengujarkannya.
